Maisterravalbuena’s presentation at Frieze London 2016 will feature works by Antonio Ballester Moreno, Daniel Jacoby, María Luisa Fernández, Maria Loboda, Néstor Sanmiguel Diest and B. Wurtz.
Their diverse works originate from a profound interest on searching the different mechanism of perceiving reality. Through their work they explore the causes and consequences of the construction of images from different power structures.
The work of these artists try to alert the viewer that images surround us - no matter how vain can seem - they are charged of ideology and this will affect the way we perceive the world. The five artists of the presentation put in debate the production of knowledge conditioned by political, economical or social issues.
