Marie Kirkegaard Gallery is pleased to present Sheath/Shroud, a new solo exhibition by Los Angeles-based artist John Knuth. This is Knuth’s second solo show at the gallery, and presents new wall works and floor sculptures made primarily with thermal survival blankets.

John Knuth is known for working with a variety of unconventional materials including flies, snakes, smoke flares, sugar, and sandbags. His work often fuses ideas of survivalism with the language of minimalism.
