Donazetti's vision is to communicate with color, through the refractive lens of weaving, brief moments of light in the natural environment. She seeks to paint changing, complex pieces that will inspire an emotional response and a sense of meditation.
Suzanne Donazetti is known for her abstracted landscape paintings on woven copper. Each piece brings together her love of the land and her desire to capture and preserve the moment. Her newest works, which will be displayed in a one-woman exhibition titled “Transitions,” continues this tradition while also incorporating several new elements in her life.
This year Donazetti is focusing on the vibrant hues of the New Mexico landscape, with soft browns and greens, and occasionally adding reds, indigos and turquoise.
