It is with great pleasure that Martin Asbæk Gallery can present the solo show Fascination by the Welsh artist Helen Sear, whose artistic work explores the materiality of the work and the capacity and limitations of the photographic medium. This exploration moreover led to Sear being the first woman to represent Wales with a solo show at the Venice Biennale in 2015.

Fascination has its origins in a preoccupation and deep fascination with the natural and direct approach that children often have to the surrounding world and its living organisms.
