Join us at the LA Art Show from Wednesday January 14th to Sunday January 18th. With fine art lectures, tours, the opening night preview party, and various art exhibits including Masterwork’s, the show offers a full weekend of activities and exploration. This year’s show will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
We will be showcasing a curated selection of works by 20th century Modern Masters, including an exclusive viewing of our large Picasso ceramic collection. One of the most stunning works of this exhibit is indisputably Andy Warhol’s Queen Margrethe II of Denmark (Teal) from the Reigning Queens of 1985. This stunning screenprint details Warhol’s playfulness with line and color while also exhibiting his view on conventional portraiture. On display are miraculously colored March Chagall lithographs including Carmen, 1966, which is proof of Chagall’s enduring talent and skill of extracting each color and pushing it to its boldest and brightest. La flûte enchantée (The Magic Flute), 1967, widely considered to be amongst Chagall’s best works, is set apart from other modern masters by the scale and color saturation present. A special part of this exhibit is Joan Miró’s Study for L'Oiseau Migrateur V, Study For the Migratory Bird V, a unique Miró watercolor that exemplifies his mastery of expressing movement, as the male figure clumsily dances around in circles. Joining the aforementioned exquisite works and artists are the lithographs and linocuts of Pablo Picasso, along with a vast collection of Picasso Ceramics.
