Join us at the LA Art Show from Wednesday January 27th to Sunday January 31st. With fine art lectures, special exhibitions, the opening night preview party, and various art exhibits including Masterwork’s, the show offers a full weekend of activities and exploration., This year’s show will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Our many modern and contemporary masters on display include the likes of Marc Chagall, Pablo Picasso, Sam Francis, Frank Stella, and more. An exhibit that comprises both of prints, sculpture, and ceramics, it is sure to be dynamic. From the thought provoking and visually intriguing Slices of Liberty, 1985 by Arman, to the more simplistic canvas of Sam Francis’s Untitled (From the John Bennett Series), 1967, to the highly revered work of Pablo Picasso, Masterwork’s displays a full range of modern masters and their work. Marc Chagall’s lithographs stun with the intensity and saturation of their color. Chagall Aleko and his wife Zemphira from an Old Russian Tale, 1955 showcases a tender folklore scene, characteristic of Chagall’s subject matter, with deep and rich blues. From Joan Miró, we exhibit pieces of his classic Surrealist work – characterized by vibrant colors and bold, black portions that ground the image and contrast beautifully with the watercolor-like aquatint. One of Miró’s most engaging pieces is L’Exile Vert (The Green Exile), 1969, image of a large face. Pablo Picasso’s graphic and ceramic oeuvre takes center stage with a stunning selection of linocuts, colorful still lives, and ceramics. Joining in the fun are glass works by both Marc Chagall and Picasso.
