This year’s show will take place at Pier 94.
Our collection spans from Marc Chagall to the fabulous Frank Stella. Chagall is known for his exquisite work with colors, and La Parade (The Parade), 1980 does not disappoint. Chagall was also fond of the circus as a subject matter, as we see in this lithograph. On display will be many ceramics from our vast Pablo Picasso Ceramic collection. Two of his finest works, Visage au nez noir and Visage au yeux rieurs, 1969 display his talent at not only painting on the surface as a vessel, but using it in a more sculptural fashion, joining decoration and form to create something wonderful and innovative. Joan Miró also features heavily in our gallery, with stunningly colorful abstracted pieces such as L’Aïeule devant la Mer (The Grandmother by the Sea ), 1969. Of course we must mention Frank Stella and his magnificent multimedia pieces on display, in particular the eye catching he Butcher Came and Slew the Ox, Pl.8 from Illustrations after El Lissitzky’s Had Gadya, 1984.
