Huge installation which consist from the tree stumps that had been pulled out from the ground with the roots - sensitively responds to the painful events of our history and everyday life. The installation merges everything - pain, fight, loss, survival, memory, relations - with the history and Lithuanianness.
Exhibition is part of the gallery's "Meno parkas" project "Undivided History". Dedicated to commemorate the Centenary of Lithuania in 2018.
Danielius Sodeika - sculptore, scenographer – born in 1961 in Veisiejai, Lazdijai district municipality, Lithuania. 1982 -1988 studied at Art Institute in Vilnius at sculpture cathedra, where acquired specialty of sculpture and pedagogue. 1988-1993 lecturer of drawing and sculpture at Vilnius Academy of Arts, Kaunas faculty. Since 1997 member of Lithuanian Artists‘ Association. 1996 the 1st prize at the wood symposium “La Bresse” in France (1996) and other.
