Mirus Gallery is excited to announce its newest show “LOCAL II: a group show,” including artists throughout the Bay Area to commemorate the reopening of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). The gallery’s opening reception will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, May 13 and the show will be on display through Saturday, June 25.
"LOCAL II: a group show" will highlight and celebrate the rejuvenated arts scene in the city in conjunction with the SFMOMA reopening on Saturday, May 14, and coincide with several other highly-anticipated gallery openings in the area.
The show will be co-curated by gallery director Jennifer A. Darland, alongside Paul Hemming. The two have brought together an eclectic mix of artists to demonstrate various art styles throughout the Bay Area with a focus on the artistic beat of the dynamic SOMA neighborhood.
The show will feature artists including Apex, Jud Bergeron, Nicholas Bohac, Eddie Colla, Randy Colosky, Casey Cripe, Aaron De La Cruz, Brett Flanigan, Casey Gray, Chad Hasegawa, Hueman, David Choong Lee, Mario Martinez (Mars-1), Jet Martinez, Robert Minervini, Sean Newport, Kelly Ording, Ferris Plock, Daniel Segrove, Jenny Sharaf, Damon Soule, James Swinson, Kelly Tunstall, D Young V, and more to be announced.
