Its owner, Aime Maeght, was one of the most influential and creative gallerists of the modern era. A master printmaker by trade, from 1946 Maeght published a periodical called Derriere le Miroir; sometimes up to six times a year. Each issue included a set of limited-edition original lithographs by artists he represented.
