The exhibition "Picasso-Giacometti," organized at the Museum national Picasso-Paris between October 2016 and January 2017, in collaboration with the Paris-based Foundation Alberto and Annette Giacometti, will bring to light the formal, friendly or iconographic interactions that these two major artists of the 20th century entertained. Focus will be placed on a particular theme illustrating the links between Alberto Giacometti and Pablo Picasso while the exhibit is presented in the new exhibition Foundation Giacometti’s space, which opens to the public in 2016. This dialogue is realized by the collections of the Museum Picasso and the collections of Foundation Giacometti. It will confront the multidisciplinary domains of creation and approaches used by Picasso and Giacometti: painting, sculpture, graphic art. Support also comes from the collection of private archives of the two artists.
