Parasitic Sculpture is Benjamín Urzúa's first solo exhibition at Galería NAC. The show
consists of a series of sculptures that start from a dependent premise: all of them attach
themselves to smooth and flat surfaces, hence their parasitic character. Together with the
sculptures, photographs are exhibited that record the interaction of these viscous forms in
the public space.
The artist has his studio in the busy axis of the Av. 10 de Julio, a place known for its
multiple auto repair shops, spare parts resellers, and many formal and informal commerce
