For years, I have been tracking a series of seemingly disparate ideas: touch, the haptic sense, holes and shadows, color, destructive plasticity, deformation and the animate. This obsessional research has taken me to many places, from a visit with polymath touch god Jan Svankmajer in the Czech Republic to the Bob Baker Marionette Theatre near my house in Los Angeles.
