Nomad Two Worlds is pleased to announce the feature of Russell James and Clifton Bieundurry’s collaborative work in Hugh Jackman's musical "Broadway to Oz". The musical includes a vocal performance by Bieundurry in which a projection of the work “Sorry" is featured.
James and Bieundurry have collaborated on many works including “Warlu Juju” (translation: Sorry). James took the photograph of a brush fire that he and Bieundurry came upon while traveling in North Western Australia. For James the image represents the heat and searing pain caused to the Indigenous people. For Bieundurry the fire recalls a funeral ceremony or “Sorry Meeting”, a time when all the tribes come together to pay respect to the deceased.
