About

Fine-Art Photographer Russell James and Australian Indigenous artists Clifton Bieundurry, Edwin Lee Mulligan and Aubrey Tigan are the founding collaborative artists for the Nomad Two Worlds collection. The creative essence of the art movement is a blend of ancient and contemporary art and culture that expresses a mutual desire to 'move forward together' with art as the language in common. Hosted by Lisa Fox, Donna Karan, the Australian Government, Hugh Jackman and Deborra Lee-Furness at Stephan Weiss Gallery in New York, The 'Apology Collection Preview' was the first official presentation of the artistic concept that James' originated in 2001 that he describes as 'reconciliation through art'. The installation featured 30 large format works by the collaborative artists, three art films entitled 'Innocence', 'Inhibition' and 'Discovery' by James, as well as a promotional music art film entitled 'The Apology' made in collaboration with will.i.am and featuring appearances by Hugh Jackman, Estella Warren, Professor Fiona Stanley, Indigenous artists and elders.
