Stories in Bronze is composed of 20 pieces that belong to different series in which Amador worked during the period 2015-2017, and which have become an important part of his work and his career. From these series are the large format bronzes that have been placed in public spaces in the cities of Puebla, Oaxaca and soon in Mexico City.
The sculptures in bronze have given three-dimensionality to the iconography of Amador, his figures: beetles, birds, teapots, fishes, dresses, magicians, among other symbolisms, in addition to the textures achieved with the incorporation of resins and different material elements enrich his esthetic. The interpretations of reality and fantasy are concentrated in the same artistic object: the sculpture.
Through this exhibition we will explore the fantastic world of Amador Montes. It is about giving life to the stories that have accumulated in the artist's memory through a sculptural wink, which takes on a different meaning when placed in a natural and harmonious setting such as Las Rosadas, under the privacy of the moon and the sun, surrounded by nature and framed by the sea and the islands of Chamela Bay, each of the pieces will be born to tell a story and live through the story and interpretation of those attending this wonderful event of contemporary Mexican art.
