Scope Miami Beach pavilion will be directly located on the ocean front sand and offer an oasis for collectors to buy carefully curated contemporary collections. The Platinum First View for patrons will be Tuesday, Dec 5, 12 - 4 pm. Press preview and VIP opening to follow that evening and public hours will open Wednesday, December 6 to Sunday, Dec 10th from 11 am to 8 pm. Bringing three artists to the fair, John Zoller, Christopher Schulz, and Steven Graham, Oliver Cole Gallery will occupy booth number H29 with 125 sq feet.
Christopher Schulz is a contemporary artist whose use of stainless steel and lucite adds to the immortal nature of his subject matter. Schulz combines guns and sharks, both familiar iconography, to present the very notion of fear in a questionable format. Schulz wants to engage the viewer in a personal relationship with the work. Through the medium of stainless steel, Schulz hopes to desensitize the very two things we fear the most and humanize them. Christopher Schulz has participated in International art fairs from New York, Los Angeles, to Miami. Schulz has been commissioned by HBA design group, BP Oil, Transocean and Isuzu and many others too create works of art. His artistic presence resides in both personal and commercial collections. On view at Scope will be his Leopard AR and Black Tip Mp5 sculptures.
Stephen Graham is known for his meticulous attention to detail. He hand places push pins with Swarovski crystals placed on the back of each pin. Using special magnifying glasses, Graham places each pin at precise points to create 3-D works of art. Each pin is carefully curated at an uneven level to provide his sparkled subject matter with a unique sense of depth and modeling. The orchestration of each work by Graham engages the viewer through its glamorous sparkle.
John Zoller is a Miami based artist whose dynamic one of a kind original paintings represent the technical age of the 21st century. Each work engages the viewer through a journey of optical illusion by manipulating your field of vision. Zoller’s new series, Celestial Mechanics, are hard edge graphic paintings exploring abstractions of the principles of physics and astrodynamics. At the heart of John Zoller’s work is the symbiotic relationship between art and science.
