In his landscapes, Miller captures textures that exist in symbiotic yet unexpected relationships all around us—they are silky and rough, smooth and jagged, soft and sharp—and all united by the line of forever, the insistent yet invisible horizon. In "Vanishing Horizons / Expanding Visions," Miller explores the horizon – in Europe, Asia, America and Antarctica; on land and at sea; during day and at night. “Méditerranée” introduces a series of photographs that capture the dance of light and color on land and sea of the French Riviera Coast. "Serenity in Snow" shows frozen snowscapes and lone structures depicted with both minimalism and profundity, moving viewers to look deeply into misty, wistful horizons that blur earth and sky. Uniting the work across the walls is a shared language of visual poetics in which a single story is told—the story of an artist who encounters the unknowable, and treading lightly on new ground, captures a moment of vast beauty.
