Pasto presents in this edition of SP-Arte the work of three argentinian artists: Juan Sebastian Bruno, Victor Florido and Estefania Landesmann, all working in different media. The booth will display installation, painting and photography. In line with the strong curatorial imprint of the gallery, the pieces have been united under the idea of focusing on the romantic perspective of modernist art the three artists share in their contemporary practice.
Bruno (b. 1975) is presenting an installation composed by geometric structures inspired in Le Corbusier’s design for a church in France which he later crowns with a precise arrangement of candles like if it became the stage for a ritual. Florido (b. 1976), on the other hand, elaborates paintings with a traditional format which become impossible to be conceived as a whole due to a series of veils he applies on them such as grey square plains that obstruct the view. On the contrary, Landesmann (b. 1983) exhibits photographs as unique pieces that can not be seen as a serie. I those photographs, she depicts specific moments such as the reflection of an old portrait on a window while it gets lost in the outside vegetation or the passing light of the afternoon on a forgotten and dusty frame.
