Michael Miner has spent over thirty years as a cinematographer, writer and director of award winning films. After graduating with an MFA from UCLA film school, he won numerous awards and wrote screenplays for Oliver Stone, Sylvester Stallone and Michael Douglas, among others. During this time he continued to develop his personal craft as a still photographer, electing to work with large format cameras and sheet film. In 2002, Michael embarked upon a series of studies that would chronicle the chaos, beauty and soul of the landscape, often photographing in remote locations. In January 2010, he received an Artist-in-Residence grant from the National Park Service. In June 2010, Miner received a Merit Award from Black and White Magazine. Please join us for his debut exhibition and artist reception on Saturday, March 17th, from 3-5pm!
