PM/AM Gallery is pleased to announce Everything we broke today needed breaking
anyway, a solo presentation of ten new works by Nancy Friedland. This curation
assembles a tapestry of Friedland’s family life, depicted through a mix of oil and acrylic
on wood panel. Her subjects are depicted with an infectious familiarity; the viewer is
invited to step into the artist’s community, elevated from observer to guest.
Friedland began her career as a photographer and works from photos she has taken of
her family. This exhibition concentrates on those set at her parent’s lakeside cottage in
Northern Ontario. …
