In the series Fulgor y sombra [Glint and Shadow], the Mexican artist Néstor Jiménez continues an investigation into the residues of socialism in Mexico. In this project he makes use of fiction to build an alternative world where socialism triumphed. This series of drawings (pastel on paper) shows us one-eye red masses with distorted bodies. These characters represent the irrational fears that propaganda ideas about the collective have produced in society.
