Absolute testimonies of the miracle of light and matter, the stars, since forever, have inspired men, poets, scientists and artists. On one side, the contemplation of the cosmos as distance, deprivation, nostalgia, unsolvable mystery. On the other side, the vision of the sky as astonishment, wonder, grace and light. The dizzying immensity of the universe; even more, the recent theory of the possible existence of parallel universes other than ours, but outside our space and time. Cheerful and disturbing theory, fascinating and abstract. For the moment, our stars remain: those far away and set in the night’s velvet, or the nearby one, the Sun, that illuminates us and warms us up. Amongst these presences, in this antithetical dance, braided with gold chains, between astonishment and nostalgia, mystery and light in different expressions, where photography and collage, the traditional colour and new symbols, meet between the starry sky above us and the moral law in us.
