Richard Saltoun Gallery presents AKKIJ, a solo exhibition by Egyptian-born, Edinburgh-based artist Fathi HASSAN (b. 1957), one of the leading artistic voices of the North African diaspora and a pioneer of the visual exploration of language as a space of identity and resistance. Spanning over four decades of practice, the exhibition brings together oil paintings from the 1980s–90s with large-scale works on paper from the past two years.
