ROBERT KLEIN GALLERY @ ARS LIBRI (500 Harrison Ave) presents Photograms, an exhibition honoring two artists' unparalleled imprint on Boston's intellectual scene and the trajectory of photography: GYÖRGY KEPES (Hungarian, 1906-2001) and LEN GITTLEMAN (American, b. 1932).
Photograms opens this Friday, November 6, with a reception from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. RSVP on Facebook and spread the word!
Kepes taught at the Institute of Design in Chicago from 1937 to 1943 before moving to MIT, where he famously founded the Center for Advanced Visual Studies. Gittleman studied photography at the Institute of Design in Chicago shortly after Kepes' term; he graduated in 1954 and later taught at Harvard University's Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts.
