Unavailable.org is a new art platform that simplifies the link in between artists and collectors. It has been founded by two head thinkers, Alexander Basile and Thomas Rappold. The first one comes from the art field, the second one from informatics and economics. With a head quarter in Cologne, Germany, Unavailable is situated in a central European position. At the heart of the NRW, the art platform is in direct contact with the Kunstakademie of Dusseldorf, HFBK Hamburg, Hochschule fur Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig and ADBK Munich and is projecting to wider its network to Holland, France, Switzerland, The United States and United Kingdom.
With more than 400 artists registered on it, Unavailable, is adding everyday more potential to its foundation. The art network has the aim and urge to build a simplest, easiest and more direct connection in-between the artists and the art collectors in order to avoid the very restrict and elite circle of the current art market. By doing so, Basile and Rappold open up young talents to a wider scene and allow anyone from the audience to become an art collector by directly seeing what is been formulated within the most reputed German Art schools. The corpus collected by Unavailable delivers an inner view on what is present day done and furnishes therefore an inside for future art analyzes.
More than being active on the Net, the art network is throwing on the 21st of November on ‘ART DEMO DAY’ in the Cologne-based Ruttkowski;68. The demo will be constituted of seven artists selected by an invited curator – Florian Waldvogel – and whose artworks will be presented to an audience of collectors and art professionals.
