Abu Dhabi 3/11/15 Salwa Zeidan Gallery has confirmed their participation at this year’s edition of Abu Dhabi Art Fair, taking place from 18th to 21st November in Manarat Al Saadiyat within the newly opened Saadiyat Cultural District. Gallery will be participating within the “Modern and Contemporary” section, as well as have one artwork exhibited within the “Beyond” booth.
“As every year, this is a very exciting time of year for us”, explains Vanja Rontini, gallery manager. “We have seen the fair develop with every passing year since its inception, and we are proud to continue the wonderful collaboration with the art fair organisers and add more wonderful art to it.” Within its booth, the gallery will be featuring calligraphy pieces by an established Syrian artist Ahmad Moualla, flowerbeds by Zhuang Hong Yi, butterfly-adorned gun for peace by Bran Symondson, calligraphy collages by Adonis and unique visual calligraphy works by Agighi Bakhshayeshi. Newest works on paper by Salwa Zeidan will also be exhibited, accompanied by blossoms by Ran Hwang, as well as newest works by Omar Zeidan, Kourosh Salehi, Loubna Ameen and Sumaya Abdulghani. Moreover, the gallery has announced their collaboration with Wiener Silber Manufactur, a prestigious silver manufacturer from Vienna, and will be displaying newest hand-crafted designs by starchitect Zaha Hadid as well as famous designers Erwin Wurm, Wolfgang Joop and Alexandre Echasseriau. “Together with the rich selection you will be able to see in our Modern and Contemporary booth, we will be exhibiting one piece by Peter Gentenaar within the Beyond booth of the fair, the section curated by Fabrice Bousteau and his team. The artist, known for his suspended sculptures adorning domes of Yas Mall, has agreed to exhibit the twin sculpture of his artwork currently exhibited within the Louvre, Musee des Arts Decoratif in Paris, so we are very excited about bringing the piece for display in Abu Dhabi.”
