About
Al-Hadid’s monumental sculpture Nolli’s Orders (2012) anchors SJMA’s central skylight gallery like a Bernini fountain in a Roman piazza. She explores the space between 2-dimensional mark-making and 3-dimensional sculpture, the imagined and the real, the interior and the exterior.
