In a discourse interwoven between photography, object and expanded painting, we will present a selection of vintage photographs by Leo Matiz (Aracataca, Colombia, 1917 - Bogotá, 1998) recognized as one of the most influential photojournalist photographers in Latin America during the 20th century. We will show the document, unpublished until now, of the trip that Matiz undertook in 1939 through the regions of Colombia that ended on the north coast of the country to visually document his spontaneous impressions of the Magdalena's Ciénaga Grande and the north coast of the country.
