In his latest paintings, Gleiwitz creates images that appear to be in constant transformation, hovering between states of stability and change. Drawing on the visual complexity of artists like Hieronymus Bosch and Giuseppe Arcimboldo, Gleiwitz similarly plays with the transformation of tangible forms into monstrous or whimsical manifestations. Yet unlike those historical references, his images resist objective clarity. They never fully coalesce into fixed icons or narrative symbols. Instead, they remain fluid, ambiguous, and unsettlingly alive.
