Spoke Art is pleased to announce our participation in CONTEXT Art Miami. The gallery has participated in the Miami art fairs since 2013 and we are thrilled be exhibiting in CONTEXT Art Miami for the second year in a row. Showcasing a range of contemporary painting, sculpture and prints, our booth will exhibit new and recent works from Dan Lam, Scott Listfield, Scott Scheidly and Chuck Sperry.
Dan Lam, a Dallas, Texas-based sculptor and painter, explores color and form in her organically shaped sculptures. The artists engaging yet oddly unsettling sculptures highlight the artists fascination with color theory, evoking otherworldly creatures in a visceral state between consumption and consummation.
Scott Listfield is known for his paintings featuring lone exploring astronauts, lost in a landscape cluttered with pop culture icons, corporate logos and tongue-in-cheek science fiction references. Listfield was raised in Boston, MA and studied fine arts at Dartmouth College.
Orlando, Florida-based artist Scott Scheidly will be painting new works for his ongoing “pink series” in which he depicts notorious politicians and celebrities dressed in hues of pinks and purples. Scheidly’s work presents a satirical analysis of power, corruption, celebrity and masculinity.
Master screen printer Chuck Sperry’s works burst with energy and color, executed with a refinement of technique gained from 25 years of printmaking. Dripping with brightly colored flowers and adorned in metallic textures, Sperry’s muses represent humanism, social progress, universal human rights, democracy and the utopian ideals of the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood where Sperry has made his home since 1989.
Please join us at Booth #C102 at CONTEXT Art Fair, opening to the public on Wednesday, December 5th and running through the weekend until December 9th.
