Conceptual Russian artist duo Maria and Natalia Petschatnikov and German artist Anja Michaela are presenting new works. Their work is a reflection on the nature of memory, which always remains subject to change.
At the Stern-Wywiol Gallery, conceptual working artists Maria and Natalia Petschatnikov (MNP) are creating an installation that features a video projection and permits us to take part in a journey to their childhood. They are creating a real space in which we can trace their journey by means of drawings, objects and moving images.
Anja Michaela, former scholar of Stephan Balkenhol, is presenting among other works a new series of works reminiscent of musical instruments. The technique of deconstruction an construction is typically for the poetically conceptual work of Anja Michaela who explores the question of memory and interaction.
