Ours is a “selfie” society. No event or person is safe from the intrusion of our own faces into the action. This collection explores faces created by artists from across the spectrum including some self-portraits. Just think of it as the Facebook of an earlier era. Thumbs Up?
We go face to face with everyone. Individuals and nations both like to “save face” in embarrassing situations. Many of today’s political actors are double-faced. We seek to interface both people and systems while our sports teams face-off with one another. We strive to get face time with important people, yet we often make life-changing decisions through what we learn on Facebook without facing up to the consequences. The time is now to face the music and begin thinking about how to create a better society for all.
