Yuma Yoshimura. His work is to put a thin aluminum panel on wooden frame, to engrave its surface with delicate line drawings, and to color it in a monotone. He produces his work like carving himself thoroughly.
He studied lithograph in university. Then, he had been using an aluminum panel as a plate, but now the aluminum panel itself becomes tableau as he followed his unique instinct of which the completed panel itself, created by an action of ‘’drawing and engraving’’, is more punchy and materially cool.
This exhibition is the first solo exhibition of his new series. He draws a fiction from facts, which are his new experiment. Memories from the past and now. He works into both verbalizing and drawings. This work might provoke his/her own story to visitors.
The aluminum panel has a special characteristic of which it reflects radiant energy, by polishing, at high reflectance from visible light, electromagnetic wave including ultraviolet light, to heat wave. It won’t be a coincidence that Yoshimura chose the aluminum panel by instinct.
This exhibition reflection in a squall displays the inner world of Yuma Yoshimura which is reflected elaborately.
We wait to see you here with this opportunity.
