Steve Coffey - Fallen Star Car

This exhibition presents a collection of unique train car collages of ink, oil and acrylic by Canadian painter Steve Coffey. Conceptually driven, Fallen Star Cars is a sometimes emotional, sometimes tongue in cheek ode to our own mortality and human condition. Celebrated upon that that has linked us most- art, music and a train.
Steve Coffey has been an integral part of the Canadian art and music scene for many years. He has curated traveling exhibitions, created large-scale public sculptures, taught college, and conducted many workshops and art residencies. He searches for a distinctive atmosphere from the immensity and grandeur of the plains to the human mark etched upon it.
