Please join The McLoughlin Gallery as we show in Art Aspen – an art fair presenting emerging, cutting edge, contemporary and modern art! Meet us at Booth A4.
This year we will feature contemporary sculptures by David Middlebrook and Moto Waganari, and paintings by Will Day and John Waguespack.
German artist Waganari`s sculptures emerge from virtual space at the intersection of art, architecture and science. They combine modern minimalism with the symbolistic styles of pop culture resulting in a unique spatial expressivity. Inspired by European Masters Waganari translates sculptural art into the 21st century.
Middlebrook, a "Master of Materials", is a Northern California based sculptor specializing in site-specific work, public & private commissions and smaller elegant conceptual sculptures.
Will creates bold, abstract images on canvas - the majority being large scale in format. His art balances texture, color and layering into cohesive and appealing images. "While all the paintings are abstract, I try to create numerous shapes and forms that are visible. My ultimate goal is to fuse 3 or 4 colors into each painting to project a strong, motivating energy to the viewer."
San Francisco based artist Waguespack creates stripped-down, deconstructed landscapes out of bold color fields. Layers of thin diluted paint enable the grain of the wood to visually contribute to the minimalist composition. In a world of concrete and technology, these paintings provide an organic escape for the viewer.
