This exhibit explores the origins of camp's exuberant aesthetic. Susan Sontag's 1964 essay "Notes on 'Camp'" provides the framework for the exhibition, which examines the elements of irony, humor, parody, pastiche, artifice, theatricality, and exaggeration in fashion.
