ART PALM BEACH 2016 CELEBRATES 19th EDITION OF INTERNATIONAL FAIR

PALM BEACH – (December 31, 2015) – Art Palm Beach, the internationally renowned premiere mid winter contemporary art fair on Florida’s Gold Coast takes place January 20 24, 2016, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. Celebrating its 19th year, Art Palm Beach is Palm Beach County’s longest running fair dedicated to contemporary, emerging, and modern master works of art of the 20th and 21st centuries.
“This year we have increased our number of exhibitors, exhibition space, on and offsite events with more than 8o international galleries exhibiting paintings, sculpture, photography, video, new technologies, performance art, and art installations offering collectors exposure to today’s emerging art trends,” says Lee Ann Lester, founder/organizer, Art Palm Beach.
For the 19th edition of Art Palm Beach, Lee Ann and David Lester, founders/organizers, have created new sections emphasizing emerging art, sculpture and works on paper. An inspiring schedule of educational lectures and forums are open to fair attendees. An onsite bookstore has been added as well as installation projects form Korea, Israel and the United States.
International Sculpture Exhibition – Fernando Botero’s Donna Sdraiata (1995) Bronze – life size 55 1/8 x 47 1⁄4 x 142 1⁄2 inches. Galeria el Museo (Bogota). Emerging Art Exhibitions Exploring 21st century painting Siebren Versteeg’s video “Departures” and works generated by manipulating computer language creating images of paintings and videos that exist exclusively from internet data space, Michael Jon Gallery, Miami. Australian artist Ry David Bradley using landscapes from online media manipulates the images onto suede using dyes and spray paint cast over the digital source. Bill Bradley Gallery, New York, Miami.

Street Artist New works will be exhibited by Speedy Graphito one of the pioneers of the French Street Art Movement left his mark with his innovative style in the early 1980’s has continued to reinvent iconography of our times. Fabien Castanier Gallery, Los Angeles, Bogota.
New Leipzig School Exhibiting for the first time in Palm Beach will be the Leipzigbased artist Hans Aichinger dedicated to representational figural compositions characterized by minimalist background often developed out of the dark backdrop creating dynamic focus on the central figures. First annual poster competition in partnership with the A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts and Palm Beach State College and the competition was open to all students from both schools. The winners were selected by more than 33,000 votes and include Samantha Vassor from the A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts, and Laura Rincon from Palm Beach State College.
