Anastasia Bay (° 1988, Paris) lives & works in Brussels. She graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Her paintings are characterized by secure brushstrokes and rough drawing marks applied over colour field backgrounds. She depicts human figures in interaction. The charachters in the paintings are often in couples, revealing an interest in relationship dynamics, symmetry and balance. She obtained in a short period of time already a considerable international network.
