CORNERED by Austin Irving is a series of photographs that call our attention to the spaces we inhabit. Void of cultural signifiers, belonging to no specific place or location, a universality of line and form reoccurs from image to image, offering a deeper assessment of the formal elements that make up the rooms we occupy. Often more like paintings than photographic prints, the simplicity of these compositions is both abstract and up-lifting.
