Pulling together new works by artists Christopher Boffoli and Margeaux Walter, "Scaled Perspectives" is a digital, photographic exhibition that deals with the dramatic, comedic, or ironic effects a change in scale or perspective may present. In "Believe Me", an ongoing series from Margeaux Walter, works are staged and then photographed using a drone to mimic the effect of being under surveillance. By staging each scene, Walter challenges the documentary nature of the photographic medium as well as our notion of what is real versus what is constructed. By contrast, Christopher Boffoli's works adopt a more playful tone, portraying toy people in a normal-sized world. While the initial impact of these colorful prints may be light and humorous, Boffoli often encourages a darker and more dramatic interpretation of the interactions these tiny toys must endure with their surroundings.
