About
Specialists in South Indian, Sri Lankan and Pakistani contemporary art, The Noble Sage was founded in 2006 as the foremost stage for South Asian senior and emergent artists working on paper or canvas.
The Noble Sage was formed in 2006 to highlight the Madras College of Fine Art and the Madras movement of artists that came from the school and impacted Indian modernism and contemporary art today. The Noble Sage has since branched out to include senior artists from Pakistan and Sri Lanka such as the Late Tasaduq Sohail and Anoma, through to popular names of Indian contemporary art such as F.N. Souza and Jogen Chowdhury. Most recently it has produced a premium level gallery offspring in the form of 'Manuelpillai Fine Arts' for premium artists, South Asian and English, that deserve even greater attention from art investors.
