Arnau Casas discovered art at an early age, spending time drawing and painting in his parents' graphic design studio while they worked. This early exposure fostered an inherent connection to self-expression through drawing and the creative possibilities of this medium. He pursued studies in Illustration and Painting in Barcelona, completing an Erasmus program in Pilsen and Prague. It was during this period that he developed his distinctive style and fascination with the distortion of reality. Arnau’s work explores the contradictions of the contemporary human condition—a being who, despite the challenges and shortcomings surrounding them, asserts their right to seek peace and well-being. Through drawing, he focuses on the contradictions and wanderings of human behavior, thoughts, daily questions, and profound reflections, transforming the complexities of the human psyche into a playful dialogue. His figures roam between the enigma of their existence and the decision to celebrate it, enigmatic as it may be.
