Jimin Ryu reconstructs non-existent (or perhaps non-existent) spacetime by intertwining and overlapping fragments of reality that originally existed in different spaces and time periods.

The scenes in her works mostly consist of inconspicuous and mundane objects—things that are always present in our surroundings but cannot be the center of someone's life. With delicate strokes over a long period, the artist carves out the longing for bygone times and the affection and empathy for the fleeting encounters, which cannot return. While her previous works primarily focused on sculpting and collaging 'remembered images' onto the canvas, her recent explorations involve creating a narrative while retaining her traditional methods.
