Mies is an indoor floor lamp made out of two laser-cut 5mm raw aluminium sheets, sanded and waxed by hand – each step is made in Belgium. On top of the aluminium base structure, sits the globe bulb made out of matte white opal glass. It uses “LED technology” which with normal use, allows the bulb to last for many years. Ipanema is a lamp designed by Iskandar Jani. The first lamp of the collection "The urge to see the world" was Ipanema. the project was inspired during the first lockdown in 2020 by the song "Girl from Ipanema" interpreted by Strud Gilberto and Stan Gets (1965). Yasuke is a Floor lamp released by Iskandar Jani. The sculptural lamp is composed of a large solid body, covered by a wide helmet that reminds the sharpness of the cross swords motion. For that impressive presence, the lamp was named after the 16th century legend « Yasuke ». Yasuke was an african-origin man who traveled to Japan as a slave and a protector of a jesuite missionary. His remarkable physical and combative aptitudes made him such a great warrior that he was offered to the most powerful man of the country to become his vassal.
