CHICAGO – Hilton Contemporary today announced a specially curated exhibition of new and archival images by world renowned photographer David Yarrow. It’s a Wonderful World will feature recent works by Yarrow as he shares his journey throughout the world recording stories of the beautiful life in the magical places from The Amalfi Coast to the desert sands of Namibia; from Iceland’s magnificent waterfalls; back to the United States to recount the stories of America’s Wild West and South. This past summer, Yarrow spent much of his time on the Mediterranean Riviera in France and Italy, recounting the nostalgic imagery of Slim Aarons of the rich at play. He soon after returned to the United States to continue his quest of shooting the perfect bar scene and recording the life of a cowboy in Texas rounding up his cattle. Considered the best-selling photographer in the world, Yarrow is at the forefront of creating unique works by incorporating supermodels, celebrities, native Americans and everyday folk. With elements of our natural world, such as cows, horses, cheetahs, lions, tigers, elephants, zebras, hippos, wolves and bears, Yarrow brings together tantalizing visual stories to help us to see through the eyes of a man who not only knows the world but is seeking new and unique experiences to share with his collectors. Hailed as one of the most influential photographers of our time, Yarrow has dedicated his life and art to raise awareness and especially funds for the protection of endangered species, pediatric cancer research and animal conservation. Over the years, Yarrow has donated more than $11 million from the sales of his work to various charities. In 2021, his collaboration with Cindy Crawford raised over 3 million dollars for pediatric cancer care at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2022, Arica Hilton, CEO of Hilton Contemporary, facilitated a high-profile photoshoot with Yarrow to help raise funds for at-risk hockey alumni. Working closely with Marian Hossa, Chicago Blackhawks Hockey Hall of Famer, three-time Stanley Cup winner and five-time NHL All-Star, Hossa invited his six 3-time Stanley cup winner teammates and hall of fame legends, including legends Chris Chelios and Denis Savard. Hilton Contemporary will host numerous events with David Yarrow during the six days of the Art Miami/Context fair from December 3-8 at the Hilton Contemporary booth A 16. Yarrow will also be present for a book signing.
