Mo Lai Sze Liz’s Home Reflections in Print

Mo Lai Sze Liz’s printmaking works seek to establish meaningful connections between her roots in Hong Kong and life in a foreign place. Her collaged monoprints bridge the spatial and temporal points physically and visually, weaving a narrative that explores her personal experience of relocation and the discovery of finding new places to call home.
"Home is a symbiotic relationship where I can draw inspiration from my restful moments and find peace in my work. If I were to imagine a picture of my future home, it would be the connection of my spirit and living, and how it evolves through time."
Mo was born in Hong Kong and spent several school years in the United States and Hangzhou, China. She is currently based in France. Her experiences of living in different places and learning about various cultures have influenced her to see and think from multiple perspectives, becoming a significant inspiration in her art creation.

In her artworks, Mo creates landscapes out of abstraction, engaging with the unfamiliar and gradually discovering the landscape through her impressions. This process mirrors her journey toward a spiritual home—a deeper place where the environment reflects her inner self. Each piece is an exploration of finding paths to this spiritual home, expressing how the external world and her internal landscape intertwine.
