"These children reflect our childhood and the essence of who we are. They embody trust and optimism, encouraging us to dream of a safer, kinder, and more loving tomorrow." - Guy Stanley Philoche
Philoche’s “Give Us Our Flowers” series serves as a poignant commentary, breaking down the barriers that divide us. His vibrant colors and thoughtful compositions invite viewers to reflect on their viability while he utilizes a layering technique that resembles a concrete building, further acknowledging the complexities within the human experience.
For Green, this debut at SCOPE Art Show is a profound honor and a reflection of his artistic vision. His "Invisible" series offers a thought-provoking exploration of the rise and fall of historical leaders and the revolutionary spirit of the Black Power movement. Green's minimalist figurative works, created on canvas, paper, and cardboard, highlight the intricate stories of Black livelihood and the echoes of resiliency. He incorporates elements such as graffiti, assemblage technique, black hues in acrylic, and oil paint to create vividly striking mixed-media portraits.
Give Us Our Flowers
Guy Stanley Philoche powerfully advocates for women’s autonomy through a striking visual narrative of mixed media on canvas. A young girl, dressed in oversized clothing, stands boldly against a vibrant electric blue backdrop. The exaggerated proportions and vivid color palette illuminate a universal truth.

Guy Stanley Philoche's artwork captures the innocence and beauty of childhood, inviting viewers into a world depicted in grayscale tones that evoke a sense of realism. These tones create an elegant contrast against a warm, peach-toned background reminiscent of peaches and cream ice cream, deepening the celebration of life's precious moments filled with joy and innocence.

Invisible
Serron Green honors the achievements of legendary Black athletes, including heavyweight champion Jack Johnson, Joe Louis, Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Robinson, and Sugar Ray Leonard. Utilizing spray paint, enamel, mixed media collage, and glitter on paper, Green channels Muhammad Ali’s iconic words, “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee,” to create impactful tributes. His artwork is a powerful affirmation that resilience and triumph exist within us all.

Serron Green redefines superhero narratives, inspired by the legacy of Marvel's first Captain America, Isaiah Bradley, along with his son Josiah X and grandson Elijah Bradley. His vision comes to life through vibrant spray paint and enamel on repurposed cardboard. By evoking a sense of nostalgia, his figures, marked by the bold, angular aesthetics of '90s comic art, embody the essence of cherished childhood memories and the aspiration for those moments to manifest in present reality.
